This diagram depicts a more complex equipment cell where a Win32 system has been used to deploy a user interface, a GEM interface to the factory host, and a web server which is used to serve process or test results to the engineers' desktops.  The web server can also be used to serve E-diagnostics clients.  A separate controller system is running a Datahub process which functions as the Distributed Message Manager server; a centralized high performance database for configuration data and status data; and also as a SECS host to an attached equipment.  The main controller process is communicating to the rest of the system using the Datahub multithreaded C client software.
